Entre 2020 y 2022 fue Intendente del Maule y posteriormente Delegado Presidencial Regional durante el gobierno del expresidente Sebastián Piñera, cumpliendo un rol clave en la coordinación regional durante la pandemia de Covid-19. En 2018 se desempeñó como seremi de Desarrollo Social del Maule y previamente trabajó en Corfo como jefe de la Unidad de Proyectos Corporativos y coordinador territorial de la Agenda de Innovación.
