El Día Nacional de las Juntas de Vigilancia Rural y Desarrollo se celebra el **20 de marzo** de cada año, desde el 2019, cuando se promulgó la ley que instauró esta fecha como un reconocimiento a la labor de estas organizaciones sociales que se formaron en los años 80 para combatir el delito de abigeato o robo de animales en zonas rurales, especialmente en la Región de la Araucanía¹². Estas juntas también colaboran con el desarrollo local, la seguridad ciudadana y la prevención de incendios forestales¹²³. ¿Qué te parece esta iniciativa?
