El Mes Nacional de la Minería es una celebración que reconoce la importancia de esta actividad económica y social para el desarrollo de Chile. Se realiza en agosto, ya que el 10 de ese mes se celebra el **Día del Minero**, en honor a **San Lorenzo**, el patrono de la minería²³.
